UNIDO Summer School 2024

The 3rd PAGE Green Industry Summer School 2024 will take place in Vienna from 30.07-02.08.2024.

Industry is crucial for global climate action, economic growth, and job creation. In 2021, carbon emissions from energy combustion and industrial processes made up nearly 89% of energy sector greenhouse gas emissions. By 2030, the business sector could cut global greenhouse gas emissions by 3.7 billion metric tons of CO2 equivalent annually, representing 60% of the emission reductions pledged in the Paris Agreement. The manufacturing industry must take responsibility for its greenhouse gas emissions and transition from carbon-intensive to green production. A circular economy model can help reduce emissions, address resource scarcity, enhance economic competitiveness, and create jobs. The 3rd PAGE Green Industry Summer School will explore how the circular economy can drive systemic transformation and address the triple planetary crisis cost-effectively.
